To fully participate in the spiritual journey of the 2025 Jubilee, pilgrims will require the Pilgrim’s Card—a digital passport to more than 35 key events, including the sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of Rome. The Jubilee, themed “Pilgrims of Hope,” is a year of extraordinary grace, inviting the faithful to deepen their connection with God through devotion, acts of charity, and spiritual renewal.

The Carta del Pellegrino, or Pilgrim’s Card, is indispensable for accessing the major events of the Roman Jubilee. This free digital pass not only facilitates entry to key religious sites such as St. Peter’s Basilica, St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, St. John Lateran, and St. Mary Major but also provides practical tools to enrich the pilgrimage experience. With the card, pilgrims can organize their journeys along designated “Pilgrimage Routes,” gaining recommendations and information to enhance their spiritual encounters.

The Pilgrim’s Card is designed to streamline participation, allowing pilgrims to register for events and manage their itineraries efficiently. This registration system will also assist Roman authorities in managing the movement of millions of visitors expected during the Holy Year.

What Can the Pilgrim’s Card Be Used For?

Access to Events: The card grants entry to more than 35 key Jubilee events, including those at Rome’s four Papal Basilicas.

Pilgrimage Routes: Offers curated itineraries for accessing major sites while deepening spiritual experiences.

Registration and Logistics: Assists in organizing group or individual participation, ensuring smooth movement and accessibility for all, including those with disabilities or special requirements.

Mobile Integration: Through the app “Iubilaeum25,” pilgrims can browse event descriptions, sign up for activities, and track their schedules.

Pilgrims can register for the card exclusively through the official Jubilee portal or the “Iubilaeum25” mobile app. After entering the required details, each registrant will receive a personalized account and a unique QR code.

With this account, pilgrims can:

• Access the detailed Jubilee event calendar.

• Manage event bookings, including cancellations, modifications, or rescheduling.

• Receive real-time updates and recommendations.

The mobile app is particularly beneficial for travelers, enabling them to navigate events seamlessly while on the go. It ensures orderly participation in a year expected to draw record numbers of pilgrims.
